Three home page concepts

Jamie — here are three directions for the Line Honors home page, all built on the compass rose logo and the navy you chose. Each one is a complete, working page: scroll it, resize it, open it on your phone. Pick the one that feels right and we'll build the remaining pages around it.

Concept One — Windward
Concept One

Windward

Light, open and editorial. The headline sits on a quiet cream panel beside a full-height photograph, and the four services are presented as clean picture cards. The most conventional of the three — and the easiest to keep looking sharp as content grows.

  • MoodBright, professional, plenty of white space
  • HeroSplit panel — headline left, photograph right
  • ServicesFour picture cards, two across
  • TypeCormorant Garamond with Inter

Concept Two — Full Sail
Concept Two

Full Sail

Dark and cinematic. A full-screen photograph opens the page with the headline sitting directly on it, and each service unfolds as its own large alternating row. The most dramatic of the three, and the one that leans hardest on strong photography.

  • MoodSerious, weighty, image-led
  • HeroFull-screen photograph with navy overlay
  • ServicesFour full-width alternating rows
  • TypeCormorant Garamond with Libre Franklin

Concept Three — Chart Room
Concept Three

Chart Room

Warm and traditional, laid out like the front page of a journal. The headline runs large across the top with a wide photograph beneath it, and the four services sit side by side as tall columns. The most understated and the most institutional.

  • MoodClassic, restrained, print-inspired
  • HeroEditorial masthead over a wide photograph
  • ServicesFour tall columns, side by side
  • TypeCormorant Garamond with Jost

A few notes

Photography is placeholder. Every image here stands in for the real thing. Before launch we'll swap in genuine photography of Annapolis, the State House and you — or license stock that fits whichever direction you choose.

The headings use your logo's typeface. All three concepts set headlines in Cormorant Garamond, the same classical serif family as the LINE HONORS wordmark, so the page and the logo read as one piece. The body text differs slightly between concepts so you can compare — that's an easy thing to change once a layout is chosen.

The copy is a first draft. It's written to show how the page reads at full length. Mark up anything that isn't right and we'll rewrite it.

Everything is one page for now. Each concept shows the home page only. The About, Services, Coalition and Contact pages will follow the same system once you've picked a direction.
